Vulpes vulpes

Red foxes are omnivorous mammals native to North America, Europe, Asia, and some parts of northern Africa. The largest of the “true fox” genus, these creatures are often found in pairs or small families. Their diet consists of small rodents, rabbits, birds, carrion, insects, and eggs, but they will also feast on berries, seeds, grasses, and nuts. Red foxes are a common symbol in folklore across cultures, commonly representing adaptability, creativity, cunning, and trickery.
