Trifolium repens

The White Clover is a herbaceous perennial flower native to Europe & central Asia. A part of the pea family, they are frequently cultivated as a forage crop for livestock. They most commonly have three leaves, forming the “shamrock” that is often associated with the Christian Holy Trinity. The shamrock is also a symbol of Ireland. It is considered good luck to find a rare four-leaf clover, and it is said that brides & grooms should have a clover tucked into their shoes during their wedding for a successful, loving marriage.
